Description

The bryophyte herbarium at TROM, The Arctic University Museum of Norway (former Tromsø Museum) contains c. 23 600 specimens.

About 80% of the material is from mainland Norway and Svalbard, remaining parts mostly from Sweden and Finland. Significant collections of the large genus Sphagnum are from the Trøndelag area, northern Norway and Svalbard. The Sphagnum material has recently been revised.

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 23,591 records.
