PES-project, Southern Norwegian Fjords
Occurrence data of living benthic foraminifera (>63µm) from southern Norwegian fjords, collected in 2008. The data are related to the PES research project undertaken by the Department of Geociences, University of Oslo. The project focused on the development of paleoecology-based tools for reconstructing soft-bottom ecologic status, including reference conditions in coastal waters. Samples were mainly taken with a gravity corer and data represent the occurrence of living benthic foraminifera in the upper sediment centimeters (0-2cm) of 3 replicates.
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 717 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
