The data are related to the PES research project undertaken by the Department of Geociences, University of Oslo. The project focused on the development of paleoecology-based tools for reconstructing soft-bottom ecologic status, including reference conditions in coastal waters. Samples were mainly taken with a gravity corer and data represent the occurrence of living benthic foraminifera in the upper sediment centimeters (0-2cm) of 3 replicates.
