Foraminiferal assemblages in the Hardangerfjord, western Norway
Occurrence data of living benthic foraminifera (>63µm) in the Hardangerfjord, collected in 1996. The samples were collected during an environmental monitoring cruise in Hardangerfjorden. Foraminiferal assemblage ananlyses were undertaken by the Department of Geociences, University of Oslo. The study provided new insights into the foraminiferal diversity in the Hardangerfjord. Samples were taken from gravity core tops or grab samples. The data represent the occurrence of living benthic foraminifera in the upper sediment centimeter (0-1cm).
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 229 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
