収集方法
Biology samples are taken with a van Veen grab and from a surface area of 0.5 m^2 There are several sample stations around each installation. The distance and direction from the main installation is stored in locationRemarks. The exact latitude and longitude for each sample station is provided. Approximately five grabs are made at each station, each a few meters apart. The grab numbers are provided in the eventRemarks.

- The identification of species in each sample is in general done at DNV's Biology lab but samples are also sometimes outsourced to external taxonomists.
