BioFokus is a non-profit organization for providing biodiversity survey information on biological diversity to decition makers and the public in Norway. BioFokus contributes to a knowledge-based management of Norwegian nature. BioFokus focuses on field work to secure updated and relevant data on botany, zoology, ecology, and survey for respective areas. A high level of competences are a pre-requisite for quality registration and reporting of biodiversity data. BioFokus employees cover a wide range of species-groups and have broad understanding of ecology in the respective nature types, including forest, cultural landscapes and fresh water.
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 555,667 records.
