This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versões
A tabela abaixo mostra apenas versões de recursos que são publicamente acessíveis.

Dados Sobre o Projeto
Data collected as part of the ArcticSGD project, investigating submarine groundwater discharge and its effects on benthic communities in Svalbard fjords.

| Financiamento | The research leading to these results received funding from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014–2021 project no. 2019/34/H/ST10/00645. W.H also acknowledges the support from the Swedish Research Council (VR) under the project "Cyrosphere-driven submarine groundwater in the Arctic" (Project No: 2021-04962) and STINT through the project Cryosphere-driven submarine groundwater discharge across the Scandinavian peninsula since the Last Glacial Maximum (IB2022-9230). |
O pessoal envolvido no projeto:
Métodos de Amostragem
Sediment cores were collected using a GEMAX corer (9 cm diameter, two replicates) at Tempelfjorden sites, and push cores (8.5 cm diameter, three replicates) using the ROV Ægir 6000 at Hornsund and Hornsundbanken. Cores were sieved over a 0.5 mm mesh and preserved in 4% buffered formaldehyde. Macrofauna were sorted under a stereomicroscope and identified to the lowest taxonomic level. Abundance and biomass were standardized to m².
| Área de Estudo | Svalbard fjords, Arctic Norway. Sampling was conducted in March 2023 at three submarine groundwater discharge sites in Tempelfjorden and Hornsund, and one cold seep site on the Hornsundbanken shelf. |
|---|---|
| Controle de Qualidade | All taxa were identified to the lowest possible taxonomic level and scientific names verified against the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS). |
Descrição dos passos do método:
- Sediment cores were sieved over a 0.5 mm mesh, preserved in 4% buffered formaldehyde, and transferred to 70% ethanol in the laboratory. Macrofauna were sorted under a Leica MZ16 A stereomicroscope and identified to the lowest taxonomic level.
