Project Data

This project aimed to map the status of slender naiad (Najas flexilis) and other red listed aquatic plants in Stavanger municipality in the autumn of 2025. Slender naiad was recorded in Mosvatnet, but not in the three other lakes where the species had previously been detected. A further six lakes were surveyed, but no new populations of slender naiad was discovered. For more information see report Askedalen, B. (2025). The species was surveyed following Norsk Standard. (2007). Vannundersøkelse – Veiledning for overvåking av makrovegetasjon i innsjøer (NS-EN 15460:2007). Oslo.

Study Extent Ten lakes in Stavanger municipality, Norway
Quality Control Identification of Potamogeton trichoides and Potamogeton crispus were controlled by macrophyte expert Birna Rørslett.
