R/V Helmer Hanssen is a multipurpose research vessel owned by UiT - The Arctic University of Norway, and the cruise ‘HHUMTKT25’ was organized and executed by The Arctic University Museum of Norway with focus on marine bottom fauna in Northern Norway.

Scalidophora is a group of marine invertebrates with uncertain taxonomy. In Norway, we also have limited knowledge about the diversity and distribution of these species. The project "Scalidophora in Norway" aims to increase knowledge about Scalidophora in Norwegian waters. Scalidophora includes the three animal groups Kinorhyncha, Loricifera, and Priapulida.
