Sampling Methods
Duplicate sediment cores were taken from two stations using a Gemini corer (8 cm inner diameter).
| Study Extent | Sediment sampling was conducted during a single expedition aboard R/V Lance in August 2019, between 76.3 - 76.7 °N and 32-37 °E at approximately 250 m water depth. |
|---|
Method step description:
- The surface sediment (0-1 cm) was washed over a 500 and 63 μm mesh sieve. The rB–stained foraminifera (>63 μm) were wet-picked, identified, and counted under a Nikon SMZ18 stereomicroscope. Individuals were identified to the lowest taxonomic level possible.
