Description
This dataset includes benthos sampling observations from the AB202 UNIS course. The samples were collected in April 2024, onboard the Helmer Hansen vessel, along the following stations, Isfjorden (ISK), Kongsfjorden (KB3), seep site outside Magdalenafjorden and Marginal Ice Zone (MIZ). The methods chosen to accomplish this work were benthic trawlling and Van Veen grabs. Following the students sorted and identified all the observed organisms to the lowest taxonomic level possible.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 143 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Method step description:
- After benthic trawling for seven minutes and Van Veen grabs sampling for each station, the students, under the supervision of professors and researchers, sorted and identified all the specimens possible to the smallest taxonomical level possible.
